- User-Generated Content: The AI prompts you publish, example images or videos you upload, categories (Image, Video, Website, Component) and AI model tags (e.g., GPT Image, Midjourney, Google Veo, Gemini Omni, Seed Dance, Claude, Grok, ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion, DALL·E, Nanobanana) you assign, style metadata, and comments you post.
- Profile Customization: Profile bio, avatar image, and any other information you choose to add to your public profile.
- Communications: Messages or inquiries you send us through the Contact page.
b) Information Generated by Your Activity
- Interactions: Prompts you Like, prompts you Save to your library, creators you Follow, and comments you interact with.
- Search Activity: Queries you enter in the search bar, including keyword, category, model, and style filters.
- Engagement Data: Like counts and save counts associated with your uploaded prompts, used to power Trending and discovery features.
- Preferences: UI preferences such as Light or Dark mode, which may be stored locally on your device using localStorage or cookies.
- Usage Data: General usage patterns, page views, and interaction logs for platform analytics and performance monitoring. This data is aggregated and not linked to individual identities.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to operate, improve, and personalize MoonLane. Specifically:
- To create and manage your account and enable login.
- To display your public profile, uploaded prompts, and follower/following stats to the community.
- To power your personalized Following Feed, showing you the latest uploads from creators you follow.
- To populate your Saved and Liked libraries, persisting your bookmarks and likes across sessions.
- To calculate Like counts and surface Trending prompts across the platform.
- To enable full-text Search with category, model, and style filters across all prompts.
- To enable Comments and community interactions on individual prompt pages.
- To remember your Theme preference (Light or Dark mode) across visits.
- To send you account-related communications (e.g., password resets), if needed.
- To moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service, including admin review of reported or flagged content.
- To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve the platform's performance and feature set.
3. Public vs. Private Information
MoonLane is primarily a public, community platform. Please be aware of the following:
- Public by default: Your username, profile avatar, uploaded prompts, Like counts on your prompts, follower/following counts, and public comments are visible to all visitors, including those who are not logged in.
- Private to you: Your email address, your personal Saved library, and your Liked prompts list are private and are not displayed to other users.
- Following relationships: Who you follow and who follows you is visible on your public profile.
4. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We only share your data in the following limited circumstances:
- Infrastructure Partners: We share necessary technical data with our trusted hosting and infrastructure providers (such as MilesWeb) to keep MoonLane running securely and reliably. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of MoonLane, our users, or the public.
- With Your Consent: We will not share your personal information with any third party beyond what is described here without your explicit consent.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
MoonLane uses browser local storage and cookies to:
- Keep you logged in to your account across sessions.
- Remember your Light or Dark theme preference.
- Cache your Saved and Liked prompts locally for faster performance.
- Store your sidebar collapsed/expanded preference.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely. If you delete content (such as a comment), it is removed from public view promptly, though it may remain in our backups for a limited period.
7. Your Rights & Controls
You maintain meaningful control over your data and content on MoonLane:
- Edit Your Profile: Update your username, avatar, and bio at any time from your profile settings.
- Delete Your Comments: Remove any comments you have posted on the platform.
- Manage Your Library: Un-save or un-like prompts from your Saved and Liked libraries at any time.
- Unfollow Creators: Unfollow any creator from your Following list at any time.
- Account Deletion: If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us through the Contact page. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law.
- Data Access: You may request a summary of the personal data we hold about you by contacting our support team.
8. Children's Privacy
MoonLane is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us.
